Inside NextGen Playground: Training Cameroon's Next Tech Generation

DG Enterprise was founded on two observations at once: small businesses in Cameroon needed quality tech services they could afford, and talented young people in Buea wanted to break into tech but had no clear path from learning to employment. NextGen Playground is how we solve the second problem — and it feeds the first.

Free, hands-on training

NextGen Playground is our training arm, and its core training is free. It is open to all skill levels across five tracks: web development, mobile development, DevOps, graphic design, and social media management. Learners finish with a certificate of completion — and, more importantly, with skills they can actually use.

Real projects, not just theory

The "Playground" name is deliberate. Instead of memorising concepts that never touch reality, learners work on real-world projects and expert-led workshops. They write code that runs, design work that ships, and manage infrastructure that real applications depend on. That is the fastest way to become job-ready.

A genuine pipeline to employment

Training only matters if it leads somewhere. NextGen Playground graduates have gone on to work in DevOps, web development, and mobile development — including one placed as a DevOps Engineer at GOZEM. Some join the DG Enterprise team directly; our own DevOps engineer, Tatah Noel, went from the programme to running cloud infrastructure with us.

Why we invest in training

This pipeline is also our advantage as a company. The engineers who build for our clients are trained in-house on current tools and real projects, which means they are hungry, skilled, and always learning. Investing in people is not charity on the side — it is how we keep our work sharp.
